Have circled what I see as a definite 3 (preceded by what looks like a 4) yet that is a 5? Can you please let me know which numbering system is in use as I just can't make that work as a 5. TL/DR: the Jaunpur 5 looks exactly like a later 4, while their 4 is a characteristic phi-like shape (as opposed to the epsilon-like shape of the 5). So this coin is dated 853. I couldn't see any references to this 5 shape anywhere online either. (EDIT: OK, here's one.) We numismatists really need a good study of medieval Eastern Arabic numerals, the way there are plenty of for Western Arabic/European...
