Hi Folks,
I have used Verdi care and it works well on coins that need it.
My question is, Can this be used on a coin without verdigris to prevent environmental damage going forward?
I know this can clean verdigris somewhat, and prevent it from getting worse. On pennies for instance.
Is there anything that a coin can be dipped in to prevent carbon spots? Would Verdi care work for this? Or are carbon spots a function of storage problems. I am now collecting
Barber halves and trying to within reason a
Shield nickel run. The Barbers have been relatively clean, just worn, But the Shields can be messy at lower grades.
Thanks for opinions
