I searched a few 2000 Freedom quarter mint rolls and found a 7 coin progression showing obverse die degradation and obverse die replacement.
By tracking a reverse die chip/crack in the C of Canada I noticed that the obverse die was replaced after the third coin in this progression.

Photo/Coin 1 -reverse, no die crack/chip in the C yet
-obverse die chips starting on Regina
Photo/Coin 2 -reverse, die crack/chip starting in the C
-obverse, die chip accumulation increasing on
Regina
Photo/Coin 3 -reverse, die crack/chip continuing in the C
-obverse, maximum obverse die degradation seen
on Regina, Elizabeth and 25 Cents
Photo/Coin 4 -reverse, die crack/chip still present in the C
-obverse die is replaced, Regina back to normal
Photo/Coin 5 -reverse, die crack/chip increasing in the C and
starting on N and D of Canada
-obverse, die chips starting again on the N
Photo/Coin 6 -reverse, die crack/chip increasing in the C and
more die chip accumulation on Canada
-obverse die chips on N
Photo/Coin 7 -reverse, die crack/chip increasing in the C and
more die chip accumulation on Canada
-obverse die chips on N
I have closeup photos of the C of Canada showing it's continuation over the seven coin progression if interested I could post them too.
