A new 'C' mint marked coin due to be released Thursday April 6th. Apparently 80K coins to be minted. It is going to be interesting to see if the Mint learned anything after their last debacle.
I will be hoping to get one. Anyone else keen on this coin?

I'm not a collector of Australian coinage - except for the silver one-ounce Wedge-Tailed Eagle releases - but I hope you can get one for your collection!

Just to clarify, there will be two 'C' Mintmark $2 coins being released. A standard $2 coloured coin, and a Silver Proof $2 coloured coin. . Both will sell out within minutes, with the silver coin being far more sought after . Coin of the year ?

I managed to buy one from a dealer. No joy with the RAM. Dealer Web sites are jammed now. Looks like the Mint did not learn anything from the last debacle.
Either mint more coins, hold a ballot or prior to minting the coins ask for expressions of interest. At least that way they will have some idea of how many coins they should mint and it would avoid all of this grief and nonsense. I wonder if they will learn anything this time?

Some coins already on eBay not even 2 hours since release. Up to $250!!! Some dealers have not even listed those coins (perhaps they were not allocated any?).

Silver proof is now SOLD OUT at RAM . Still in queue-it, maybe some standard c mintmarks will still be available when I eventually get my turn. Don't like my chance's though.

No silver coin for me. Tried all the dealers the Mint site listed - all gone. I have been in the queue since 8.30am too for nothing. Rang them over 150 times without success either.
Just think- if they had of minted twice as many coins ($15 ones) they could have raked in another $1.2 million. If the point is to make money then what are they doing? Obviously the dealers who sell out before even listing them on their Web sites are making bucket loads (on ebay so it seems) but what is the Mint up to?
The next release of limited c mint mark coins will be interesting to see if the same things (mistakes?) happen again.

I have been in the RAM Queue-it for over 8 hours. Since 7.30 am till 3.45 pm. Lucky me? Thanking god that I got in early. Persistence has secured me 3 standard $2 'C' Mintmark coins @ $15 each. I took the day off to try and get a silver version, won't bother next time.

You are lucky. I'm still in the queue nearly 9 hours (no typo - 9 hours) later and still waiting patiently (futilely?).
I see on eBay seller 'iswright' has already sold 244 of those coins and has one listed at $110...how does someone get 240+ coins and flip them so quickly when some of us are still waiting patiently in the RAM's stupid queue? Something isn't right...

I had to go look. It is a striking coin. Maybe in a year I'll see how the market is for it. The prices on eBay are outrageous! Good look on the queue.

Yippee I did it...after 11 hours in the queue I was successful in getting some coins. In the same amount of time two ebay sellers acquired and sold more than 350 of the same coins for around $100 each. I will ask the RAM how I can do that next time too. Took screen shots to show RAM, will let you know what RAM says (if anything). I think there is something wrong here.

Quote: Yippee I did it...after 11 hours in the queue I was successful in getting some coins. Yes,i picked up 3,after similar time,7.30am,acknowledged at 8.40 got thru at around 3.00pm. Last time for me,Siver Coin gone early, ballot seems fairer and stops people wasting time. Edit...sold out, already going for A$100 on Ebay...Riculous.
