I think thus might be an unlisted version of a 1908 specimen case.

It seems to match type six with a maroon case, blue satin? and purple velvet. But the there is no lettering on the outside of the case. I'm pretty sure the coloring is maroon, when compared to a red 1911 specimen case.

I was thinking that maybe someone combined two cases to make one, but text does not match any of the other 3 versions in charelton. The feel of the leather and inside work matches the 1911 case and comparable photos. I saw two other photos of the same style case in a colonial acres auction and a Geoffrey bell auction, so there are other examples.

Does anyone have more info on this? Maybe left out of charelton for space reasons?

Good question. Looking at one of the images I posted (not my cases) in the thread, it shows same text as mine, but with a red case.
