Me I put in question the NGC assignment. Us mint strike in 900 Ag for Philippines in San Francisco in 1967 100K coins, 1969 100K coins and 1970 30K coins. The coins was 1 Peso, 26.64 gr and 38.13 mm in diameter. If I look at the design seem to be 69 or 70.

Another mystery unresolved, and shame to NGC if do not come to explain how they come at this conclusion.

@ Barret:

Can give me the cert No? Because I can not believe this and I will go to investigate.
My points:
1. very tinny planchet 900 Ag
2. this was cut on Dimes blank machine
3. the blanc travel to the halves presses.

Do my logic it is wrong? I will like to see under the black of the slab. I hope Barret will come to answer me.

Congrats, that's a great wrong planchet error!

however those don't appear to be silver. Other silver coins from that timeframe are shown here different than the label

No one said this was silver. The Philippines 10 sentimos were made at various US mints from 1967 to 1974, and the planchets were a copper/zinc/nickel alloy.

Very nice error, seen most struck on quarter planchet or SBA dollar planchet, this one is definitely worth more.

Correct Zurie, I agree, that was the info I found in reply to john1s added question also based on the label and posted the info on the 10 sentimos, but then in response to the later post by silviosi I edited to add some further info on the 'silver' planchets that were also made but unrelated to this coin if silviosi thought this was silver, but didnt realize my post was earlier than silviosi's so reading in order might also be confusing.

The 10 Sentimos was strike as: San Francisco 1967 70 Cu, 18 Zn and 12 Ni and in 1976 75 Cu and 25 Ni. The rest of the years was strike in Denver 1968 till inclusive 1975 on 70 Cu, 18 Zn and 12 Ni.

My confusion probably come from Sel who state 900 Ag.

It would be helpful if the label indicated the "coins" composition.
