Don't think it is a clash. The bust is too high on the obverse - I'm thinking lamination.

looks like a lamination flaw in the planchet

Hi guys. These are actually a 1926 penny which, to me, shows a good dieclash. The first image shows arrows indicating the clash, the second has a line drawn roughly along the clash, and the third is overlaid on the obverse image as it would have struck. This leads me to believe firmly that the "spurs" on the N in penny is actually manufactured from a slight dieclash as per the images. Thoughts any one. Cheers.

Great pics QldSandy. You are correct. Hopefully we won't see this called "Spur on N" anymore. But won't be holding my breath!. A spur is something completely different.

Thank you. I have long suspected this but never had the image to confirm it. The "spur" on the N appears to be the area around the neck/collar on the King. Cheers.
