@the, this piece seems to be based on a coin of Spain from the early 20th century. What are the weight and diameter?

I suspect it's a Nuremberg jeton, copying the Spanish coin design. This portrait of Alfonso XIII was used on coins from 1903.

@the, in addition to adding the weight and diameter of this piece to the thread, please remove it from the 2x2 and shoot a picture of the edge at the 12 o'clock position on the front. I'm looking for evidence of a removed loop because if there is, then I'm quite sure this was a Spanish jewelry charm from the 1900s, such as described on this Spanish-language coin board:

https://www.identificacion-numismat...alfonso-xiii

Their description (translated into English) is:

Quote:
...due to the size I think it's a coin-shaped bracelet charm, in this case imitation gold. These feminine bracelets became fashionable at start of the 20th Century.

weight is 2.8 grams. It's metal of some sort about the size of a nickel.

Good call. I don't see evidence of a loop being removed but that looks just like it. Bet it was used for some kind of jewelry or something at one time or possibly in cased in something. Thanks for the help.
