I think that the lower one is Obv 1 and the upper is Obv 2. I'm going by the profile of the nose and the slight hump and the profile of the fron of here neck and where the "rounding" takes place.

There are 4 different obv it looks like the top one is OH3 and the bottom is OH1 but the coins are a little beat up to tell for sure.

So yes they did come with 4 obverse's but the 1870 only in OH1 and OH2
My observations are that the top one would be OH1. The bottom is definitely a OH2 because it's a LCW. I know coins are to worn to make out the difference but I was hoping to tell. The top btw doesn't show LCW.

Why don't you post more complete pics of these obverses ?
This matter can easily be resolved.
The crown easily distinguishes the different varieties, even on well worn coins.

I'm confused. coinsandcanada only shows LCW or No LCW for 1870. Multiple obverse types based on the neck are 1888. Is that resource incomplete? First coin has a deep scratch going right through the double chin junction which may throw off interpretations there.

Both are OBV2
Note the shamrock behind the Maltese cross at the front, this does not appear on OBV1

These are both with LCW. Look at the shamrock in the crown as DBM said
