Just realized the typo! Glad it bought some mirth for a Friday!
Reminds me of a whole email sent to our workplace where a poor woman by the name of Trudi had her name in the e-mail subject spelled as Turdi. I think she left shortly after.

Well, I am sorry to confess that I have crossed to the dark side - I have conceded defeat and purchased from a scalper on ebay. None of my family or friends were able to get a single coin on any of their visits to their local Woolies. My approaches to Woolies and the ACCC got responses but basically said tell someone else. RAM didn't even bother to respond. I note with dismay that RAM have delayed June's release of coins because they still can't get their stupid system to work (ballot maybe?). It has been a while since I have bought anything from RAM; it's much easier via dealers or scalpers on ebay....sigh. No waiting in queues or getting stuffed around. Sad but what else can I do?

Up until the Vegemite coins I had managed to collect uncirculated versions of all the colored or commemorative circulating $2 coins. I was really keen on keeping my collection as uncirculated, that is why I opted to buy rather than noodle. I did noodle through 1000 $2 coins this week but no Vegemites - too soon maybe?

I've called in each week and picked up four of each colour, each time. I've found the best method for success is to ask before buying if they have any coloured $2 coins in their till and if they don't they will usually tell me which register does have them.

I don't even make a purchase usually. Just ask for them at the service desk. I do go in late though, so they are not busy.

Went into local Woolworths yesterday and they still have the black ones this week. No red ones yet. Will have to try for the red ones next time I'm in shopping.

Those rolls of Vegemite coins just go to show how badly the RAM have lost control. There is supposedly a CONTRACT between RAM and Woolies that stipulates the coins are only released through Woolies tills to customers as change for purchases from that store (according to what Woolies have told me). I don't live close to a Woolies store so I rang the closest one to see if I could get coins as part of a mail order or online order. I was told "no, have to be a personal shopper". That was confirmed later by another Woolies staff member when I pointed out (complained) that coins were available on ebay in still sealed bags and in some cases prior to release date. Woolies told me to take it up with RAM, which I did - no response! Anyway, for someone to be able to sell 125 red Vegemite coins in rolls I really doubt they obtained those coins as change through the tills. The RAM facebook page has many comments from frustrated Woolies customers. RAM have delayed June's coin release, they just can't get coin releases right these days. Scalpers are cleaning up due to RAM's continued failures to control collectable coin releases. Ballots maybe?
