I believe I posted this coin over a year ago with poor images. I am hoping these are better. I purchased this coin a couple years ago, I can't remember what I paid but I remember it was relatively cheap for one for these at the time. I originally intended to get this coin graded but after some thought I decided to try and start a commemorative type set. But have had some difficulty tracking down a dansco 7094..   I've been collecting for a couple years (2017). Favorite Coin's are Standing Liberty quarters, Working on my type set: "knowledge is power" -Thomas Jefferson | Coffee, Corvettes, Coins & the CCF what could be better? |

Looks like old envelope toning and agree it has an original look to it. I would guess 64 as well.

I must not be wearing my "good eyes" as I see a nice AU coin with original surfaces (vs. MS-64).

Nice Coin... I see what Could be seen as Wear, Obverse and Reverse. I also see a Strong BU Coin. I do NOT see Any Mis Handling, Original Luster, Not Cleaned. It has a Very Strong Strike, Rim has Slight detractions, or so it appears, Denticles are Awesome, Crisp Too, I will say the coin shown has a MS-65, IMO.  |

I see the Original luster, under the Toning, No ? I see the toning of this Well preserved Example......  @ Jakes Coins, Could you get a Sharper image to post, Looking to hear your In Hand observations, Luster? I believe it is There...  Edited by morgans dad

My eyes see light signs of wear - so I'm at AU with original surfaces.
We'll need the OP with coin in hand to confirm any rub - look closely at the central jewel in the crown and the point where the thread crosses the spinners thigh.

I'm not going to agree with the consensus. It's a great looking coin but I see wear on the high points. I'm at AU58.
I looked at mine and compared it to yours. Mine is graded MS63 and doesn't have the rubs on the high points like yours. I like the toning on yours though.

I checked again and I'm still at AU58. I see more details on the hand, hair and the kneeling women. In hand if those details are missing I would even go down to AU 55. Maybe it's the not sharp pictures but I don't see this as ms 64.

Well, Thanks Jakes Coins, People are seeing Differing Views, I Enjoy Your Sharing, Some do not see Luster, Some see an AU+ Coin..... I Too have THIS Commemorative, like Others, and See Small Details on Mine, Not Graded, NOT seen In the OP'S Pictures.... I have seen what appears to be Rub or Wear, After Much Research, only to find a POOR Strike..... Thanks, Mike... The Denticles and Lettering are Crisp!!!! Obverse Head Dress and Body Jewelry All Very Clear and Very Intact!!! Ps, May I suggest, That the OP Having the Coin In Hand Would Lend Thought and Weight, to the Opinion With THIS Coins Appearances...... |
