Don't usually buy these but at $8.50 shipped I gave it a shot. AG-3 or G-4? https://www.ebay.com/itm/195781685687

I'll say AG details, if there is such a thing - edge damage.

Including an image of the coin here so that it is saved when the pics are no longer available on the 'bay:

G details, but being damaged doesn't do it any favors.

Near G4 details/damaged.

I am a huge fan of the FEC's and have been stacking them lately. I bought an Intercept Shield nickel album to put them in as I buy them. I have nearly 20 now. Very popular series so I plan to flip the majority in the future.

the rim has some bumps but they didn't look especially bad to me. color looked ok and surfaces looked smooth without corrosion issues. $8.50 was not a big gamble IMHO

Could have been a weak strike. I have seen many higher grade ones missing some of the devices.

I'm supposing this coin was weakly struck (the breast feathers certainly look better than I would expect on an AG coin), so I'll say G-details (rim damage).

i agree this coin was the result of a weak strike. the entire left half of the obv would not wear like that. obv G4. rev AG3. net it however you want. doesn't really matter value wise. the coin would not grade straight. straight graded 3 or 4 would be in the $15 range I think so 50% discount for the rim issue would make the price pretty much what it would be worth if someone was looking for a low end example.

now, there are about a dozen different die varieties for this coin. if you can narrow that down it may have a little more value.
