I just remembered the conversation about "Starburst Effect "
I'm pretty sure I have another LMC with the same flares around the memorial. That's how I put it down as UFO flares a few years ago.

Would you consider this might be what Mike was talking about?

Rob, in my opinion, that is nothing more than a deteriorated die, it's throughout the coin, all the way to the rim. The Berm link I gave you is isolated to one area, not the whole coin. That is what has me perplexed. A loose term at this point.

Well that's ok. Just thought it might be.

Gotta admit it's a pretty cool/different looking deterioration.
The spikes, are they flowing to the rim or away.
Not that it makes a big difference? Just curious.

Well, the obverse appears to be showing an emergent ridge ring--an indicator of Die Deterioration.
