Color has nothing to do with proof or business strike, they are both made of 95% copper and can tone exactly the same. The amount of detail depends on the strength of the strike and amount of wear. There is no difference in the mouths depending on mint, that is also a result of die wear and strength of strike. Just a normal business strike.

Spend the money and send it to PCGS, just make sure it's money you don't mind losing.

@MrShack - you come new to the CCF (Welcome!) and start arguing with experienced members. I, as well, claim that cent is a Philly mint business strike.

If you are so sure then send it to PCGS as lcutler suggests - then come on back and show us the results.

Just look at the difference between both mints. The features are more detailed and mine clearly matches the San Francisco mint if fine you don't believe in good things

I'm not here to argue seems like you're here to put others down. Look at the 7's on the date the P clearly has more curve on tail. And yes some features will be more detailed as it's a special mint coin!!! So don't you judge and put me

@mrs, seems like you've made up your mind as to what you have here, which is fine. You did ask for our opinions though and so you should be willing to hear what we say, even if it disagrees with your preconceived vision of what you have. There should be no one here to "put others down" as that isn't how we do things here at CCF.

I'm on team business strike on this one. It is a nice coin, but not an impaired proof in my opinion.
