Some time ago I read a story about some commemoratives being gold colored or gold plated which was not normal to production. What was the outcome of the investigation? I've got these two in my collection:

The RCM has admitted during this time period of the varnish or rinse reacting and causing the gold colouring, kind of cool looking effect but not if you want a silver colour
