Then explain why Lincoln has w nostrils on one side and a 1980 hair flip? You telling me this is the same Lincoln?

The images aren't in focus well enough but it sure looks like a lamination issue to me as well.

The overlapping metal on the left side has peeled back some. This might be producing what appears to be a "secondary" effect to you.
The bangs look normal to me.
Words of encouragement are one of the major food groups.
We need to consume them regularly to thrive and grow.

As stated by a few others, this is a lamination. The raised copper has nothing to do with a doubled die.
