Found this circulated 1939 P Nickel in my current bank roll this week! Really nice coin from the back of someones sock drawer. No steps and Jefferson has some rash on him. I think it's at least an AU. Let me know your opinion and regards!

To me it looks like it's been cleaned.
I see it graded as XF Details at best.
Describe it as if there were no picture.
Picture it as if there were no description.

Here are the pics you requested! The most remarkable thing is this nickel was circulated. This is the oldest nickel I have. There are nicks above Montecello and a scrach on the left side across two windows. I focused on those.

I would say XF 45 as the photo reveals little luster and the hairs and other high points some wear. Add in the hairlines in the open fields and to me that would prevent the coin from being in the AU range but still a great find as I have never seen a 39 in my coin roll searching in that condition. Maybe with professional photography the coin could reveal to be AU 50.
