It's obviously not MS. And considering the large number of scratches on it I think AU-50 at best.
Describe it as if there were no picture. Picture it as if there were no description.

Very few broken shield bars. A tiny amount of residual luster. Interesting die crack between GOD and WE. Tiny amount of wear on the tips of the leaves. Quite a few tiny nicks in the fields, both sides.
AU-53.

Fully struck reverse. I'd be at AU55.

Many small nicks / bagmarks, especially reverse, but very little wear. AU58 seems appropriate.

too much glare on the surfaces to determine surface originality. reverse strike is good however surface preservation is twice the other components of the grade. just too many marks to maintain a 58 grade. i'll call it AU55 and whether the surfaces are original is up in the air.

I have to ask the question about where the wear is. Yes the fields have a lot of small hits, but I'm not seeing the circulation rub here. Educate me on what I'm not seeing, and thanks.

IMO there are some points of wear and not just a soft strike.

I appreciate your showing me this. If I carefully inspect those areas under a good light at 10x the only place I'm seeing luster broken is on the rub on the shield. The lower arrow is flattened, but luster carries across that area. The rest look correct with the surrounding devices. Problem with pictures is that nothing compares to in-hand. Strikes were all over the place and a lot were just bad. These Shield strikes were a mess, apparently. This is a sharper strike example than many I've looked at. It's a beautiful coin in-hand.

if you decide to repost another photo please avoid lighting thats causing glare. there is inordinate amount of scratches/marks on this coin on both sides. its impossible to see signs of circulation on the highest points of this coin with the glare which are known for strike issues. how much luster is there or is it just reflection from lighting? can't tell.
can the coin be MS? its possible but the photos are showing a lightly circulated coin thats been banged around quite a bit
