Hello,

Below are pictures of some novelty coins I took using my iPhone camera and a shoebox as a photo studio and a couple of iPhone apps for editing. These pictures are by no means perfect but I took my time and it took a lot of time, trial and error but I'm VERY happy with the results.

Also, I will not be taking pictures of my collection beyond these because that would take years and a lot of unnecessary frustration.

Thanks,
Rich

Nice pics, snitchard! But some are a bit blurry. Are you using the photo timer?

Just the gentle pushing of the button can jar your phone enough to blur a pic. There is a setting when taking pics with iPhones that allows for a 3 or 5 second delay from pressing the button to when the camera takes the picture. It looks like a small clock.

Hi John

I did, sort of, I didn't use the bottle cap though and I noticed Earle42 was using a piece of paper underneath and I didn't do that either. Perhaps I'll follow his instructions very closely and see what I get

Nice examples!

I agree with using the timer. Every single coin photo I take is blurry otherwise.
