Each 2021 toonie has 5 sections of 14 serrations around the collar, but I noticed that on this 2021 toonie one of those sections has only 12 serrations, while the other 4 sections have the standard 14. I compared this to a bunch of other 2021 toonies, but this was the only one I could find like this. The toonie is very lightly circulated, so has next to no wear. Could this have been because of a weak strike? Has anyone else heard of this? Could this be a new variety?

The 2 missing serrations are probably a result of collar filling with grease in that area.

Thanks for the reply! I never would thought of grease. Would grease cause the serrations to fade in such an even way across all 12 of them? Might there be any premium for this sort of thing?
