I'd say MS-64. I also see a Linear Plating Bubble on the obverse.

Plating issues greatly diminish the appearance of this coin. I'll say MS-64RD, not a fan.

It's raised, so looks like it's a linear plating blister.found on the zinc cents after 1982. https://www.error-ref.com/blisteredplating/

Apparently the grading services have graded coins with them as high as MS67 and likely don't lower grade unless plating is ruptured but I'm definately in the learning phase for grading. However as coinfrog mentioned it causes lower collector appeal and 'beauty' compared to the same coin without blisters. This likely means that if a coin had some decent value, collectors would prefer the examples without them.

I give it around a MS65-66 and a keeper, but a quick look on NGC price guide suggests that it really needs to be MS68 to be worthwhile for grading, otherwise you are at break even at best or a loss from the grading fees. Still, welcome and a nice find for a recent zinc cent.

Thanks for the info! Looking at the picture I posted of the reverse and the actual coin now, I think the lighting and my camera didn't represented the actual coin because to me, the reverse actually looks better than the obverse. But I'm still learning and appreciate any input! Just curious though, does the lining at the top of obverse through Lincoln's head appeal to collectors/effect the grade or is it more of a distraction?. or case by case thing?

Linear plating bubbles but the TPGs generally ignore them.
