I can't even figure out how to orient this piece. It is 25 mm wide and weighs .097 ounces. Nonmagnetic. Feels like tin. Thanks in advance for any response.

Thanks Hondo - I took the info you found to Numista and found quite a few that may be the same - I had no idea where to start but now have some more research to do! Much appreciated.

@joe, your top picture is upside down. If you are going to dip your toe into the coins of the Umayyad Dynasty and can't read Kufic (like me), then this is the book for you:

It should cost about the same as one of these pieces and is well worth the investment to help you with your research.

Umayyad, temp. Hisham b. 'Abd al-Malik, AH 105-125/ AD 724-743, anonymous AR dirham, Wasit mint, dated AH 121. Album 137.

You can download the most recent (3rd) edition of Steve Album's Checklist of Islamic Coins as a free pdf at the author's website https://db.stevealbum.com/php/home.php. Print versions are also available. The great advantage of the pdf is that it's searchable.
