Did some more work with the lighting this afternoon. Really happy with the result of this prototype. For a $9 clip-on lens and a LEGO axial box, it produces a decent close-up picture with relatively even lighting.

Now back to the drawing board for some enhancements. Particularly some adjustable openings to allow secondary lights for luster.
