I can achieve nice focus using EOS Utility live view window at 100%. If I use the white balance adjustment feature (my EOS utility for a T2i) I can view the subject up to 200% but cannot adjust the focus unless I exit the white balance adjustment tool and return to Live View.
Is there anyway to live focus at 200% using a T2i

I can do that with my Sony camera but not my Canons. I'm using an older EOS Utility though. Did you try downloading the latest version? Make sure it works with the T2i though. Canon software is a bit hodgepodge at this point.

I've tried to update to a newer version, but I need a newer Canon model for its serial number. Guess I need to check into a T7i.
Thanks

Can anyone on the forum with a T7 or later camera confirm if the latest version of EOS Utility offers 200% Live View?

rmpsrpms: I am not sure if this is what you are asking but these are screen snips with a T7 using EOS utility 3.0. I don't bother with updates so not sure which version. No 200% but arguably 500% and 1000% x1 x5 x10

Hi PlumCrazy814, I posted this question a few days ago and EOS Utility v. 2.14 will only allow live focusing at 100%, using my T2i. Once in awhile I get lucky and nail focus but usually have to make several attempts.
EOS version 2.14 will allow me to zoom in at 200% for viewing and white balance adjustment. If the coin is a bit fuzzy at 200%, I have to exit the white balance window and return to Live View in order to adjust focus and then re-open white balance window - zoom in to 200% to see if I was able get rid of the fuzziness.
In my original post, I was asking (Ray was trying to help me) if T7 or T7i owners using a newer EOS utility version could live focus above version 2.14's Limit of 100%.
Does EOS version 3 allow live view focusing above 100%, if it does I am considering purchasing a T7i.
Just curious, how are you able to screen capture and post pic's. of EOS utility and Live View?
P.S. Plum Crazy is one of my favorite MOPAR color names.

Windows has a built-in utility (App) called "Snipping tool". when you launch it, you select "new" and crop a box around what you want to capture. You can then use the limited tools in the app to mark it up as I did in my posted pics. It defaults to save as png files, but I select to save as jpg to reduce the file size. When I turn my camera on, it causes the EOS 3 utility to launch: I select "Remote Shooting" and the remote capture tools opens: I then select "Live View Shoot' which opens the live view window that you see in my post above. You can then zoom in x5 or x10. I never mess with white balance, but the view will re-focus every time you move your mouse over the capture button in the remote shooting tool no matter which zoom level you are using. However, it does not change what actually captures zoom-wise when you trigger the camera to take a picture. (I like the Mopar color because it is just subtly flashy. The car is a 2007.)

added note...
I use Adobe Photoshop Elements to edit so if I think the photo needs a color shift I do it there. Being colorblind does not help so I can't see much difference when adjusting the WB. I'm not sure if it helps but I do often keep a white piece of paper in the shot to try to help me reference since I know I'm going to crop anyway.

Thank you all for your help. I'm still not quite clear if I can manually focus using EOS utility version 3.0 at 500% or above, which is the version available for use with the T6i or T7i camera's.

"Other Functions button" opens this menu selection for me in 3.0 with T7 - maybe I have to manipulate the camera settings to get more functions, but it does not seem to have any effect on menu items when I change the selection wheel on the top of the camera. However, there is a white balance adjustment section in the live view shoot window that becomes adjustable if you select something other than auto on the camera body selection wheel. You can zoom the view, and manually focus while the view is zoomed. You must restart the live view window if you switch the wheel from auto to any manual setting and vice-versa. x10 MF not focused, WB adjustment active: x10 MF manually focused, WB adjustment still active: WB adjustment menu:
