Looks real but heavily damaged.

The only thing I see that would give me concern of a counterfeit are the irregular denticles under dollar. The 77S is the most common date
Trade dollar and the coin has a damaged rim, gouge, scrape on reverse, and looks like it could have been in the dirt. Pass.

The olive branch looks suspicious as does the reverse. Personally I wouldn't buy a raw Trade dollar and this one is kind of a wreck if real.

The design seems to have an extra-high relief that I've never seen on Trade dollars. So count me suspicious.
