Hello Guys! I have a problem to recognize this case correctly. A lot of coins are strucked with die, which doesn't have perfect pattern - in one year they look identical. Die details are gone...why? PS. It is only a one side problem #128533; Please help.

Could be Struck Through Grease, or, if there's a lot of coins with the same problem, an overpolished die.

I'm assuming the second pic is what it should look like?

Thank You for Your time and opinion. Yes, picture on the right is correct and full patterned. Overpolished die seems good, but in this case signature on the left side shoudn't dissapear? - polishing seems very deep. In Polish numismatics, specialist in coins has opinion, that it is made in process before: when hub is making die, pressure is not enough strong, so the lowest details on the hub are not shown on the die. There is one problem - hub, which making dies press few times to make pattern very correctly (thats why we have doubled or trippled die varieries). Is this even possible to put this between hub and die?

There is another way...if hub could not be set correctly...problem should be with die steel - it could be harder, so setted pressure didn't press all the pattern. It is only mindtalk...tell me if I was wrong.

Probably an Over Polished Die Issue most likely. Struck Through Grease is another possibility.
