Nice error
Victim was discovered by a keen-eyed searcher, in something like a rolled-up carpet. Victim suffered fatal gash to the neck, severing the carotid artery and running all the way to, Gee there are also has some facial injuries. An ugly, ugly sight to behold, but the one saving grace is, his A is pointing in the right direction.

Awful coin
If you don't have acetone, I recommend a wipe with a damp cloth will do wonders for it's health.
(it's a dirty old cent, it's doubleugly [it's so ugly I had to join the two words], a wipe will save it from getting worse, it probably only cost 1 cent so it's like finding a cent outside in the slush and putting it in your pocket, which is made of cloth)

@Enyaw - That 1949 is a keeper, but as TerryT suggests, can be "cleaned up" a bit.
