Just got back from my LCS and filled another hole in the Dansco large cent album. Anyone know what Sheldon number and reverse year this coin has? I've got it pegged for a vg grade - any thoughts on if I've undergraded or overgraded it? There is very little to no porosity. Thanks in advance. ElmerFlick

That is a nice 1794, do you mind if I ask how much you paid?

The Dealer pulled it out of an unpriced box of new purchases. He was asking $260 plus sales tax. Needless to say, I didn't try to negotiate on the price..

That's a absolute steal, I would have bought it immediately.

Great pick up! I agree that it's an S-26. Obverse 8 was used on both 25 and 26. Yours has reverse F with the die breaks etc.

I like your new 1794. Surfaces show only minor roughness. Color appears original, no cleaning. The obverse has the details of a F12 example, the reverse weaker, specially the center devices G4 or thereabouts. In my opinion a net grade of G6, may a bit higher, is not unreasonable. This example from the HA archives is a nice comp: VG10, sold 2017.
