This is one of my bucket list coins, can anyone help with a valuation? It's on ebay so the best pictures I have.

I'd grade it around $1500 at a glance based on what I see here and in the listing but I'm a picky copper-head and the photos are a big turn-off for my wallet. For any sort of money I'd want clear high resolution shots of the obverse, reverse, and close-ups of the rims. The seller's shipping charge of $25.00 is absurd.

You can search ebay and Heritage and see what similar coins have sold for.

That's what the seller said around $1,500 or a little more I guess it's ok even if the date isn't completely visible?

@Matthew23, this coin is pricey but not rare. The ones offered today aren't really eye appealing nor cheap. My suggestion is that you hold on to your money, maybe see if you can save a little more and wait for the right coin to come along that has better eye appeal. You can quibble about grading, but one thing I learned here is that it is best to wait for the right one to come along before you hand over your hard-earned money. It's a lot like waiting for the right gal to come along. At every grade there are hallmarks of great looking coins within each grade. I admit I'm not as patient as I preach, but hopefully you can do a better job than I have. Most of the time, you know when the right coin and gal has crossed your path. Hope this helps and good luck in your search.

I'm in the same boat as you, been trying for years to find examples of 1793 copper to fill out my type set, haven't nabbed a single one yet. Ugly coins for big money, and anything decent looking gets bid up to the moon. Of the three you have posted, this is the best, the surfaces look quite good and the 'damage' does not jump out. Another plus, it's a no-reserve auction, so assuming no shill bidders you can feel somewhat confident you paid fair market value. I'm going to watchlist this one and see where it lands :)

Almost pulled the trigger on a nice and relatively problem free G/VG or so Chain cent earlier this year from Col. Ellsworth, for like $2900, so they're out there if you look. He had just bought it from someone else and hadn't even made an envelope for it yet. But I used that money to pay off debt instead, sad, but necessary!
