Not sure I would have picked this out as fake with a casual glance. Since you have ID'd it as a counterfeit, some features are standing out. The drapery lines across Liberty's gown aren't right and the eagle talons look particularly bogus.
Date digits and legend letters are much better than typically seen on counterfeits. Low price and low seller feedback are two more warning flags.
Images for posterity. The reverse caught my eye as very cartoonish. All of their other listings are also fakes. Seller is coin-and-vintage https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_ss...-and-vintage Hope they get whacked.
There's no way to warn bidders on ebay. Seller appears to be located in Japan so I informed them that all their US coins are fake. We'll see if they respond.
Don't want to compare apples with oranges even though the details are pretty much the same. Look at the eagles feathers. Here's a genuine 1875 PCGS photo set.
