This is what I was looking for in the 2008 1 Cent in mint state. I was finding single earing coins randomly in circulated coins. Went through my stash and found a few new mint rolls of the single earing. I broke one roll and all 50 were of the single earing. My guess the last of the production run!! So I put together matching pictures to compare the two different strikes. Enjoy the pics.

There were 2 of each in the roll of 50. Some collectors like these. I think only found on the single earing coins.

OK so I finally got to check my 2008 ears. These coins all came from circulation back in the day and they are all MS63R to MS66R. I think it is totally random has to what you get. I had to go through the kids and grandkids books plus a roll and all my die cracks and die chips, none with what you showed. So total I had 98 coins, 53 had the double ear and 45 had the single ear. I do have more in the AU range but I can't see going through all of those it took long enough to go through these.

Perfect you found some. I do have original mint rolls of these. Now when it comes to the varieties I do now specify what earing type it is. Example - Double Die 8 with double earing.
You can cherry pick ebay for certified ones that are miss attributed.
