I draw a line on the screen and align two points on each coin.
Using transparency mode, I can scroll the mouse wheel to see the top coin and then the bottom coin. At midpoint it is seen that the two legends are not different.

Yes I've seen that on a number of coins.
In this case, weights, measures, specific gravity and more testing show no difference.
But yet there are some like the denticles that are different.
Makes me confused when trying to decide if I have a legit coin or a clever imitation.

Authentic coins will have a specific weight. You can find the weight of most coins online and compare it to the weight of your coin.

interesting way of measuring the coin in the image (something I need to learn is that transparency thing..)
