I was just taking pictures of some of my quarters, and was curious about the irridescence I can see when I tip it back and forth. Does it make it less valuable, more desireable, or doesn't it matter. Thanks for looking! Alice

The iridesence you are seeing is just the silver toning. Silver can tone just about any color from a light golden yellow to black and anything in between. Really flashy toning (rainbow colors) can command a premium on mint state coins but mild toning on circulated coins like your quarter doesn't do anything to the value.

P.S. I am really jealous of your 1955 DD cent, it is a beauty

Well Bryan, I will say one thing for you- you have got some dilly explanatory icons to make a question- I like em- Anyway, I must have done a houdini as you say- forgetting to hit the "Post Reply" What I did was look at her MVC04 stdg Lib Quarter- and responded to her query as to grade. I said it was an AG3 IMHO [:p] Yep, I have a tendency to get too huried sometimes. Thanks

Hey Dewey, I fixed your post so that your reply was out of the quoted section.

I think the coin is in G4 condition, but I think the yellowing may be PVC residue instead of toning. In the first pic, especially, it looks more like residue on the coin than toning.
