Hi, I have got a 2€ Portugal coin minted 2002. The error is in regard to the stars.
Mint error: the space is too small for the stars, on the obverse of the coin, so they are caught in the circle and overlap to the other part of the bi metalic coin.

Is this in fact an error worth any value?
I have seen others advertised asserting that it is an error.

The example on Numista looks the same:

you posted the image of your coin (obverse) upside down - that makes it hard to compare, but your coin is the same as what I see on Numista (once I turned your coin over.)
