So I'm assuming you're the proud owner of all these coins? Congratulations, you have coins, most all copper collectors only dream of owning.

This is where I share all I have but It is you who have the real Gem the knowledge that makes me your pupil! I look up to All of you because it is only my Eyes and my faith in Something Greater than my self that keeps me hunting in rolls and searching everywhere for specimens to ask questions about! I I have a question about that 1879? Is that really a proof because to me it looks like a satin Finish but when I was on the phone with money.org who helped me they said it looks like it was cleaned on the reverse. I bought the coin out of suspicion that it was a mislabeled pattern of some sort but I remembered Sandor from NGC Chat and he advised me to judge the coin not the case and I just Love the look of this coin. I feel if I am to learn I would love to see your specimens because I to have a lot to learn. I love the the old readings about people coming forward to auction coins for the first time on record. I love the coins as well as the counterfeits and patterns as the fascination is to collect one of every kind and to work endlessly or so it seems to pay for them all but I am wrong know doubt about that as the true collector collector collects and may buy on occasion but my buying has become a very costly obsession. I do hope to start roll hunting again followed by turning the change in and playing keno from one dollar and try to come up two three dollars or more then play rulettt and win more money then back to roll hunting. The hardest part is staying away from the big spender machines that cost more then a quarter or nickel like slot machines that just eat money living on a dream of winning the big one .I feel spent but I love You all! Stay safe and God Bless You!

Those 1856s are all counterfeit. I hope they were not bought as genuine specimens.

The date on that last 1857 looks suspect as well.

The 1857 is genuine, and a rare variety. It's unfortunately been cleaned pretty harshly.

Its reverse is clashed with a quarter!

Yeah, counterfeit 1856 cents and one slabbed by some basement graders?

The rest of these cents look ok, and with the above...

I cherish the the fake one it used to have a giant oversized rim until they cut it to fit the camera would not let the image download into the machine without exact measurement of the rim so thats an altered specimen. It was just called the small date 1856 back then it was a Pennsylvania find but it made it to China suposidly this is the second time owning it and both specimens have been altered but I recognized my coins among 18 that I had the rest were sent to support a campaign. The smalldates I like them because of pete instead of the Goebrecht large date design.
I really like holding the 1857 die clash in my hands it shines in person but it looks dull in pictures. The 1857 looks way better in person then the graded golden colored 1857. the graded 1857 looks well patina style or black but looks beutiful in pictures but in my hand looks not so pretty. I kind of wish I didn't let the small dates get taken by not having people in the house because the cut and copied them. I did three originally two with extra rims and one immaculate normal flat rims but the third specimen is still lost out their some where. All specimens are some what brown but the third that I don't have was brown red but not bright. The brass colored one I wish I had more of because the color is like a golden glow and I have yet to find a brass colored 1857 or 1858 to pair up with it. The silver 1856 is a 3 gram weight by myers a set of 3 1856,1857 and 1858. My guess is that rusty and Justin still have one of the original small date specimens that didn't need to be cut to be copied. The first time I bought the smalldates I paid 128.00 for all three specimens but the second time I bought them back they came from China which all was explained to me that they went to a museum and then put for sale online and the set of 18 cost 1800 but only two were originals so I kept them an I will hunt the other one down catch them two when they are sick and swoop that third specimen for cheap. I just hope the dude doesn't sell it off for some stuff he needs, or the other get the idea that it is genuine when they are sick. I cringe thinking that if I would have listened to my elders my three specimens would be unaltered and different then each other all small dates one oblong rim one wider rim and one regular rim tall and flat but beautiful. The other 16 specimens looked like copies off textured and artificially aged to look cleaned. I used to call the one that had a flat perfect rim my red banger! I need to learn more from the pen state college library about Joesph Warton and the Pennylvania pennies. I would like to send an 1858 copper copy to a different friend oversea so he can make enough to fill books or Atleast a page of the copper ones because some sent me them as a free gift but the 1858 copper is bright red so obviously not cooper nickle or genuine it looks satiny.
