No... No it does not...Look at Towpath service plaza eastbound "Moved 2 to Ohio Turnpike @ Vermillion Valley" ... also listed at "Ohio Turnpike @ Vermillion Valley (mile 140 eastbound), Amherst" as "Retired 3" ... same elongated coins... moved from one location, retired at another location...

Not that one Iggy. I find it funny how two states put so much claim as being the 'first in flight'. Quite literally, both State Quarters, both state license plates from Ohio and North Carolina claim 'first in flight'. Point said, the first flight happened in North Carolina. Ohio certainly has many other credible things to claim, but they stick to this one.

Yes, both states are tied to the Wright brothers... but I thought the Ohio slogan was "Birthplace of Aviation". Below article shows this... I find it funny that Ohio issued plates with the banner attached to the front of the plane, then had to fix it. Edit: bad link... try this one: https://www.newsweek.com/ohio-licen...show-1665432

Okay I guess the baby airplane was first hatched from an egg in one state before it flew out of the nest in another.

I'll guess the USAF Museum Tomcat penny. The "Top Gun" coin.

Quote: I guess the baby airplane was first hatched from an egg in one state before it flew out of the nest in another. Orville was born in Dayton Ohio, they both grew up in Dayton Ohio, and worked on the plans to solve the flying problem in their bicycle shop in... you guessed it... Dayton Ohio! They designed built and tested, etc... in Ohio... at least according to the Wiki... but you knew that!

Katharine Wright deserves credit as well. Just saw a documentary that showed her in the Flyer with a string tied around her legs to stop her skirt from blowing around during her flight time.

Robert Shwartzman takes the pole for the Indy 500. A rookie who's never raced on an oval....ever. Wow! Stunning for a new team. Best of luck to them. Quite an achievement.
