Purchased on ebay as an ordinary 1945-S Mercury dime. Looks pretty good for the FS-504 inverted Knob-S mint mark.

I will second that, but I also believe it needs to be at least a high AU-MS grade in order to bring any premium. PCSG guide is out of touch with this one.

I've never fund these to bring a premium, especially in circulated grades. Am I wrong?

I think you guys are entirely correct about the premium. I picked it up for $2.75. I make little purchases like that to build a reference library, so I can see the coins in hand. I find it helps to make the identification of the more valuable ones. It's much easier to make a $50 guess when you've made some successful $5 guesses first.
