Hello all, complete novice here! I was wondering if this coin (which I think is a farthing, please correct me if I'm wrong!) has an error, and if so, how much it might be worth roughly? Might I be able to get a rough idea of it's condition grade (it unfortunately has some new scratches right on its edges...)?

Diameter is roughly 25mm, thickness is 3mm

Thanks in advance for any help!

I do not see either the CAROLA nor the BRITIN NIA errors that are known for this type.

For grade and value, maybe something like this: https://www.ebay.com/itm/2263970866...673+farthing

Ok, thank you very much for your insightful reply! So was it relatively common for these coins to be struck off-centre?

Yes, because these coins were introduced only in 1672 and were the first machine-made copper coins ever minted in England, and the mint workers were having to get used to new equipment and new copper blanks. The copper coins wouldn't have received the same care and attention as the silver and gold ones and ones that were slightly 'off' would have been passed for circulation.
