Just curious:
Taking into consideration the minimal monetary value on a lot of proof sets, what happens to clad Proof sets that that are purchased in bulk by wholesalers?

If there is a dying interest in the US market for those sets e.g. 1970-2020, is there a large aftermarket interest in other countries for US sets?

Must somehow make sense. You don't buy in bulk if you don't have some idea how you're going to sell them.

If you will allow speculation...

Buy in bulk. Crack them. Get the best coins graded. Dump the rest.

Full disclosure, I cracked all my sets to fill my Dansco album holes. I have the OGP stored away in a box for provenance.
