Hi everyone! :) fairly new to coin collecting...So I'm a bartender and come across change all the time, I can usually tell right away if a coin is a different size or weight, I came across a 2008 Quarter that has about half the thickness of a regular sized quarter and not too sure what to make of it, it does look kind of "flattened" or worn down to that size..but it also just looks like it was struck on a different planchet entirely, I'm not too sure, does anyone have aby more info about this? I'm super curious and would love to find out more. I will try to post a pic if I can

I put another 2008 quarter beside it for reference
Also, if it was flattented wouldnt that make it "bigger" than a regular strike? Its the tiniest bit smaller with overall roundness
Thanks for taking the time to read this! :)

Starfeesh.

With that light reeding, it makes sense it was undersize. Possibly struck on a 5 cent planchet.
