I apologize if this isn't the correct forum for this.

Odd as it is, I've taken an interest in collecting Dryer Coins.

Would the community consider these as dryer damaged?

Also, does anyone sell these on line? Perhaps I'm not using the correct search term, I can't find any on ebay, etc. I suppose a visit to a laundry mat would work

to the CCF, 13205150! Those do not appear to be Dryer Coins but rather abraded by some other means. Dryer Coins will smaller in diameter and have a wider edge compared with a normal coin. Also any reeds will be obliterated. Below is a Dryer Coin that I pulled from a Coinstar reject bin last week. I don't think that anyone sells them. Your idea of visiting a laundromat is a good one - I'm sure that the repairman can set you up with Dryer Coins!

Doesn't appear to be a Dryer Coin. Maybe it was sanded down?

i have a Dryer Coin for you, perfect for this thread as it is a 1971-D Washington quarter. early stage, hadn't been in the dryer a very long time.

the ' Dryer Coin' thread I was going to post this on is locked.

i scored that quarter today, I was fortunate enough to be able to search a baggie of quarters today. that was the most interesting thing I picked from the bag. I spotted it pretty quickly.
