Hi, just trying to figure out what may have caused rust coloured strings to be present on the reverse of my coin. Can it be caused by strike through, or has it been stored next to something that left oxidation marks, or is this a result of some cleaning method? Google has not been much help, so I'm turning to the experts here....thanks! (And yes, I know it is a fu manchu variety)
Thanks all for confirming what I thought. Since someone has already cleaned it, I don't see harm in trying things. Acetone for starters and we will see.
