commems CCF Master Historian of USA Commemoratives United States 11348 Posts	Posted 01/24/2025 6:23 pm I'll kick things off with a United States (US) se-tenant from 1975 that commemorates "Banking and Commerce". In 1975, the US Postal Service (USPS) issued a commemorative se-tenant pair that commemorates the important role that Banking and Commerce has played in the development and history of the United States. (Se-tenant is a term that describes two or more adjoining stamps that together often (but not always) form a continuous image.) The "Banking and Commerce" stamps depict the obverse of an Indian Head cent, the obverse of a Morgan dollar, the reverse of a Gold Double Eagle (Liberty Head Type) and the obverse of a Liberty Seated 20-cent coin (based on its relative size vs. the Double Eagle and the position of its Phyrigian cap between the stars). The stamp pair was designed by V. Jack Ruther of the Bureau of Engraving and Printing (BEP). The 'coins' in this case are actually a main element of the stamp design. Thank you for defining se-tenant. I would have had to look that term up.
