Some sellers on ebay and other sites are legit honest dealers, others sell fakes usually made in China. Sometimes low price means a good deal, sometimes it's fake or has condition problems. After a visual inspection you can use simple tests to check a coin, using a scale see it's exact weight and diameter, a magnet, a ping tester (see YouTube videos about it), take it to a local coin store with an XRF tester. And as you did, post it on CCF. I recommend you buy from well known dealers who have been selling online for many years such as APMEX, Liberty Coin, JM Bullion, SD Bullion, Monument Metals, Bullion Exchanges and others.
