I am sorry to say I am not seeing it. The flattening of the devices through wear is what I am seeing.

Sorry to say that I'm not seeing it either. Even with the worn date you would see dramatic doubling of that last 6 and I'm not seeing doubling around the feather details either.

Agree with the above. Would love to see the coin in-hand (but that won't be happening soon).

Negative, off to the next one.

no, not a DDO. Tonyqt posted what you need to look for on the 1916 DDO coin.

I agree with the others. The doubling of the feathers (nicely shown in Tonyqt's photos) are critical pick up points that can be used to find dateless 16 DDOs still out there in the wild. I scored TWO 16 DDO dateless examples over the years and both are now certified by ANACs.

Would love to see yours. It's a small group that have one and no matter what condition it's a special coin.

I'd have to dig for them. I have two, certified, dateless 16 DDOs. At the time, only ANACS would certify them- one was a Fr-2 and the other AG3. The photos prior to certification were posted here on this site many years ago, and are probably archived on this site somewhere. I'll see if I can find the archived posting and attach it.
