Even with the mintage at 9000, as of Saturday morning the Pysanka coin is showing as "awaiting stock" with the RCM. People may have to get this one from a dealer. The Multilayered Beaver Coin does look very nice. It has a mintage of 1650 and is 3oz of fine silver. A few are already posted for sale on ebay. I wonder if the RCM will make this a series with other coins made this similar manner?

I think they might have already started such a series. Wasn't there a multi-layered Polar Bear design based on the $2 coin released a few years ago?

I had to look it up. No wonder I didn't remember it as it was a prototype with a very low mintage. You had to be pretty high up in the Master's Club to snag one of those. It would certainly be an expensive series to collect.

Thank you for sharing.
I think with March offering, the RCM "hits it" right.
There are designs that people will like.
Portraits are good (Polar Bear bit "flat")
Pysanka this year very vibrant.
Multi-layered 5c coin is very attractive and will be sold out.
Maple Leaves....well, the topic is watered down, but the design is extremely beautiful.

No, it is not sold-out.
Probably purchased mainly by dealers or investors.
Either broad public not aware about it, or there no much interest in this coin, considering it's price.

Though I won't be an active buyer this month, if I was "forced" to click the "Add to Cart" button, I think it would be for the Animal Portraits series. I think the alternate approaches taken for the use of gold plating - Obverse: gold over silver on the main device vs. Reverse: gold as a backdrop to the main device's silver - makes for a visually interesting coin.

Also, I think the coin's artist/designer - Trevor Tennant - did a great job with the detailed animal portraits.

I think darryldarryl was just giving his opinion/offering a prediction vs. making a statement of what had already happened.

The coin is a bit pricey, but time will tell if it sells out,

@commems

Yes...the animal portrait subscription is what I ordered only. Nice looking coins. Also, got a pysanka with free points.
