I've never heard of the show until now, but I see they were trying to make a giant origami crane. The biggest crane I have ever made had a 3 foot wingspan, from newspapers taped together. Of course, something that big is just going to get torn up over time.
Impressive.

tank

That gun is about half the width of the entire tank. If this is real-world, it would shoot 60 inch shells.
Note that the biggest gun ever made was the 31.5 inch German "Schwerer Gustav".

After seeing all of your incredible examples I had to give it a whirl myself (with the help of my 10x nerd specs). Here's my attempt at a Change of Heart:

bat

It is square origami but made with two $1 bills simply to start out with a double sized square. Each square dollar origami can be started with a small $1 square or a bigger $2 square.

I really like shirt & tie, teddy bear, and chicken. If you're taking requests.....angry swan carrying silver coinage. I also liked @ mcshilling - secret santa gift from 2014.
