Today's entry from me is this Schilling from Zug dated 1784. I believe that this is prior to it becoming a Swiss Canton but after being part of the Swiss Federation.

Nice 1784 Schilling (last digit has to be a 4 as Zug only issued this coin in 1784) Spence has gotten us to 59/100 Swapping time can't be too far away now...

Yep that last digit in the date is more readable with the coin in hand. One nice thing about this thread is that it has forced me to really dig into the deep, dark corners of my collection and photograph coins that I've had for a long time, but never bothered to properly document. This 8 Heller from the Free City of Cologne is a good example. I've owned it for nearly 11% of its life, but never bothered to take pics of it until tonight:

I have British tokens for 1791-2 and 1794 if rules were relaxed to allow these - they are a bit like German States and city coins in that they had limited validity within a particular area, biy of course were not strictly speaking regal currency. On the other hand, they circulated and were accepted as legal tender as there were NO regal copper or silver coins being minted!

We have the Kingdom of Naples already, but I'm hoping that this Grano/12 Cavalli from the Italian City State of Naples and Sicily is a distinct issuer. The date is 1791, so one of those British Tokens could instead slot in here if that is the call. BTW, my last coin to post will be tomorrow evening.

Last one for me! Here is a 12 Heller from the German Free City of Aachen dated 1792:

Can't allow that 1791 grano because the Kingdom of Naples is already taken but well done Spence for getting us to 61/100

Ok swapping time.
You can either swap an issuer already on the list to another year (provided the slot for that year is not already taken) or swap a year that has already been taken to a new issuer that is not on the list.
e.g. If you have a 1737 Brazil 6400 reis you can add it by swapping out the UK coin currently in 1737 to, say, a 1754 UK farthing and slotting in your Brazilian coin into the now vacant 1737 slot. You would have made an addition to the list (i.e. increased the coin count)
If you didn't have a UK coin from a vacant year you can still swap out the 1737 UK coin for your Brazilian coin. In this case you have not made an addition (the coin count is still the same) but have swapped out the UK for someone else to use if they can.
We are in desperate need of new issuers so if you have a coin from somewhere not on the list feel free to shout out what years you need to be swapped in case other players can help by swapping out that year.
Of course, if you can swap coins around by yourself to make room for a new addition (i.e. increase the coin count) you can make as many swaps as you require. Please do all these swaps and the addition in a single post
If you can't add a new a coin (i.e. increase the count) you may swap a single coin.
Remember at all times there can only be one coin from each issuer and one coin from each year and after each addition/swap you make you must wait for another player to make a move (or 24 hours to pass)

How does this help. I have 1789 Ireland. Do I swap out Ireland at 1769, or the 1789 Utrecht coin?

Unfortunately to swap a coin either the issuer or the year must be free. 1789 Ireland is not useable at this time. What else do you have?

Here we go. I'll swap the 1789 Utrecht to empty 1759 Utrecht. Now 1789 is empty, so I'll swap the 1769 Ireland to 1789 Ireland. Fills 1759, keeps 1789 and opens 1769. Does that work?
PS. I have a USA (don't see it on the list) 1798 if someone can open that year up.

To show how a swap is done (and to bring Spence back into play) I'll swap this 1115AH (1704) Ottoman Empire 1/2 zolota for the City of Ulm coin currently in the 1704 slot. Now City of Ulm is free to be used again. We are still at 61/100
