is there a way to get rid of the 15 or so pictures downloaded in my file? is it the reverse of the 38 or 40?

The 1940-D nickel pix weren't too bad. Keep doing whatever you did with those, in terms of quality/resolution.

The first attempt was much better. Just filter your light source a bit. If you are using a phone, a free resize app will help to get images sized correctly below 300 kB.

I'm trying to get the pictures below 300kb for free I'm sure there is a way with my computer or the phone I'm using to take pictures without $

The Image Size app is free for iPhone. Works okay for me.
