Hi,
I do I determine the orgin of mintage if no mintage occured from Philly, Denver or San F. for 1965? This coin is quite dark in color and weighs 5.7g.

Mint marks were not used 1965-1967, so there is no way to tell.

All three mints made 1965 quarters well into 1966.

This is one of the very few early dates that can still be found in nice Fine condition.

Yep, that is very correct. When the mint transitioned from silver to clad coins, the mint decided to not put a MM on any coin from any Mint that produces coins. This was intentioned to stpo hoarding coin.
MM's were resumed in 1968

Wasn't a mint "decision". The enabling legislation allowed them to use all of their facilities without mintmarks. It was an actual change in the law. Reverted in 1968.
